		<description>Elias,

I've stumbled across your blog and I'm really happy I did. You have a really approachable style of writing which is refreshing to see.

Adaptability has been a fundamental concept in psychology research examining human intelligence. If one was look at intelligence as a whole, despite all the different intelligence related constructs that are floated around currently (IQ, emotional intelligence, speed of information processing) if I and many others were to pick one descriptor that would seperate an intelligent person from a non-intelligent person across all areas, it would be that - the ability to adapt.

The interesting thing about Darwin - probably the godfather of the concept - was that (I think I have this right) he never proposed concepts such as "survival of the fittest". These concepts were thrown around by others later on in response to his work about natural selection (death) and sexual selection (reproduction).

It was really good speaking to you last night and I'll keep an eye on the stuff you're putting out there.
