As someone who has let the whole mobile revolution pass him by I am actually getting quite excited by the prospect of Android phones. T-mobile has already presold 1.5 million of its G1 phones (http://androidcommunity.com/15-million-t-mobile-g1-handsets-already-sold-20081012/) and I don't think it will be long before someone releases it in Australia.

Well that probably explains why I still don't get mobile web. I'm still using a N95 and I just can't get excited about it. But I think I'll attach my iPod touch to it and use the touch for web and the N95 for phone and camera features that it does well.

Why didn't you go for a HTC device running Windows Mobile? Can they sync with notes/domino (I think you can install the blackberry client on them)?

I've found Windows Mobile and the full screen touch screen, with the slide our keyboard of the TYTN II (also known as Kaiser) pretty brilliant. And it comes with built in GPS, WiFi, and given we run an Exchange server at the office, its seamless to sync and integrate over the air.
